“As a ski instructor at Schweitzer Mountain Resort I have referred many students to Svein at Sandpoint Sports for boot fitting and alignment. This valuable service has been an integral part of teaching efficient skiing since properly fitting boots are the most important requirement in attaining this goal. An isolated example is a student who had skied for almost 40 years at an advanced level but had never had a boot which was comfortable while still giving stability of the foot within the boot. After an evaluation by Svein, a determination was made that her boot was too large and not properly aligned. She was carefully fitted with a new smaller boot and with this a promise made by Svein to make it fit no matter how many adjustments were required. When I skied with this student immediately following this fitting, the marked improvement in her skiing was immediately apparent with an improvement in her stance and better carving skills.
